The Regenerative Difference

Why do you say “grown regeneratively” on your blueberry packaging?

When you see our blueberries in the store, you might ask - what does regenerative mean and what makes our growing method so special? Our answer in a nutshell is that we take a holistic approach to growing organically. We believe the best thing for growing our food is soil that is balanced, restored and living.

We balance the soil by adding natural minerals back into it.

We restore the soil through cover crops increasing the organic content.

We activate the soil by increasing the microbial diversity.

It is a regenerative approach which rebuilds and restore the soil in which we grow.

As a result, our plants access more of the minerals needed to thrive and produce nutritious fruit.

And we really can say that our blueberries are the healthiest possible. We send leaf samples to a research and testing facility called NovaCropControl where the testing process reveals important information about the plant‘s health.

An optimal and balanced uptake of nutrients has a positive effect on the plant‘s natural disease resistance and the quality, firmness and shelf life of blueberries.

Our test results consistently come back with nutrient levels that are the highest possible which means our growing methods are being effective. We can also see this in action – through the natural resistance our plants have to pests - insects do not like the complex sugar produced by a healthy bush, as opposed to simple sugars. This is just one of the outcomes of balancing the minerals and the result of nutritionally dense food.

We are proud of the work we have done and will continue to dedicate ourselves to the continuous improvement of our growing methods so that we are better able to share the bounty of our farm with you.
